Title : Performance of maize Influenced by nutrient management under Maize + Pigeonpea Intercropping System

Abstract :

In a two-year studied, results revealed that maize+pigeonpea grown as paired ratio (2;2) did recorded higher growth attributes like plant height (190.65 cm) and dry mater (12.14), yield attributes and yields such as. Number of cobs/plant, Cob length (cm), No. of grains/cob grain yield and stover yield and total nutrient uptake. Likewise, significantly maximum growth, yield, nutrient uptake and yield analysis recorded under the plot received 75% RDF to main crop + FYM @5 t/ha as compared with rest of the treatments. Therefore, paired planning maize+pigeonpea intercropping fertilized with 75% RDF to main crop + FYM @5 t/ha found to be better not only to economical prospective but also improved physico-chemical properties.
